The Costa del Sol has much to offer, so on your non-golfing days, why not take advantage of the area, and explore Andalucia? With its cosmopolitan culture and history dating back hundreds of years there is so much to see and do, from the bright lights of Puerto Banus and Marbella to the historic cities of Granada and Ronda.

You can enjoy breathtaking views as you drive along the twisty, inland roads to the scenic city of Ronda. It has fine architecture, one of the oldest bullrings in Spain and Moorish and Roman remains. The historic cities of Granada and Cordoba are both within easy reach for a day trip.

The pretty village of Mijas is nearby and is well worth a visit

Cabopino is a lovely, sandy beach with pretty sand dunes and has a good selection of restaurants around the marina as well as a number of beach bars.

The Hipodromo racecourse, located close to Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas, just off the N340 offers good quality horse racing.

For a day out you can visit Gibraltar (for all your duty free goods) which is 50 minutes away from Marbella. Located at the entrance of the Mediterranean its strategic location and history have made Gibraltar a very interesting place.

For evenings out, there are good restaurants offering most cuisines, excellent tapas bars and many night clubs.
